I.M.M.E.D.I.A.T.E. est un projet Europ\u00e9en qui vise \u00e0 encourager la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 et l\u2019innovation dans le domaine de l\u2019art num\u00e9rique et de la danse contemporaine. En rassemblant des partenaires issus de diff\u00e9rents milieux culturels, le projet explore des possibilit\u00e9s de performances combinant des danseurs r\u00e9els et virtuels immerg\u00e9s dans des environnements de r\u00e9alit\u00e9s-mix\u00e9es, tout en cr\u00e9ant des occasions d\u2019\u00e9tudes \u00e0 long terme pour comparer et int\u00e9grer diff\u00e9rentes implications culturelles d\u2019art contemporain et de danse \u00e0 travers l\u2019Europe.

Dance has always existed within the context of society. As society changes, it reframes dance. Today, dance is framed by the technology that surrounds us. IMMEDIATE project aims to encourage creativity and innovation in the field of dance performances intersecting digital arts. Through bringing together partners with different cultural backgrounds the project will explore novel possibilities of performances combining real and virtual dancers in mixed-reality environments while creating long-term learning opportunities for comparing and integrating different cultural implications of dance across Europe. \nIMMEDIATE will support mobility of young choreographers, dancers as well as new media artists and technology experts through a series of workshops and residencies with a main objective to encourage creation, presentation, and promotion of danceperformances of the future.
\nDistributed mixed-reality performances will reframe contemporary dance forms in a perspective of emerging technologies such as digital real-time performance tools, three-dimensional motion-capture facilities and systems supporting on-line \u00abintelligent stages\u00bb allowing for collaborative tele-immersive experiments that combine technical excellence in dancers\u2019 own bodies with creative excellence in virtual computer technologies.<\/em>
